Why should you make prints.

I was sitting around last night thinking about dropping some serious cash on a very good printer for my personal photography work. So much of what I shoot either gets stored on a hard drive, instagram or simply gets forgotten. (I do have a personal website that I upload photos to, check it out if you like www.scottymackphoto.com - its a work in progress and certainly not perfect)

While doing some editing work today, UPS dropped this print off. I had forgotten that I even ordered it. A lady online in a Fuji group that I follow suggested that I print it, so I did and forgot all about it.

I’m guilty of not printing enough, so when I opened the box I was SO grateful that I did. I try to make a photo every single day. I try my best not to miss a day and most of the time the photo is of Ben. I do this to keep improving my photography skill and to learn.

We live in a digital age, but that doesn’t mean that photography has to be 100% digital. There is a certain romance or beauty to having a nice sized print of your work, or of a photo that means something to do. I often wonder how many of my wedding couples print. I honestly believe it is one of the most important things you can do with your photos.

If you are one of my past brides and are interested in a nice canvas print from your wedding day, contact me and Ill give you a HUGE discount. Just to show you how amazing it is to have a physical print that you can hang and see every single day.

This is the print hanging, I’m not sure it is staying where it is but I want to see how long it will take Ben to notice it!
