Moments as they happen...

One of my favourite parts of a wedding day is capturing moments as they happen. I would be lying if I said I was only a “documentary” style wedding photographer. As much as I would like to just shoot the day as it happens and be totally hands off, there is always some direction or some involvement. I think it is hard to define most of us as a certain genre of photographer, but that’s cool too.

Although some things do have my input, I certainly don’t set up too much. I don’t bring props, and I try not to involve things that don’t have anything to do with the bride and groom on a personal level. This, to me, makes the day mean more. Real people, real moments. As much as possible.

I sat around today, on a snow day and took a break from editing to gather some of my favourite from 2019. I feel that we post too much of the “hero” shots, and not enough of the real, in the moment stuff, and I really enjoy that aspect…so I need to change that. Hope you enjoy them!
