A Truro Wedding ::: Bree & Hunka

Hunka, Johnny, Robert John, Hunks, Bobby J, Batman…we all know him as one or the other. I like Johnny or Hunka! lol

I love photographying weddings of friends, especially those that truly want to hire me for what I do because they love my work and want me to be part of their day. There really isn’t a gesture that I value more in this industry and that is exactly what Johnny and Bree did.

I have known Hunka for years now and we have grown very close. CrossFit brought us together, friendship has kept us in touch and that friendship has grown strong. Bree, I only met at the wedding but I can honestly say she is one of a kind beauty. Hunka got lucky! ;) They are such a great couple.

There are a few stories I could tell about this wedding, but a funny and personal one is the story about how I met two of my online gaming friends for the first time in person after playing video games with them for over 3 years! LMAO. Weird I know, but not really.

I started to play some online games with Hunka years ago, Player Unknowns Battle Grounds, and Call of Duty. I’m sure a few grooms reading this have heard of those games. Anyway, Hunka quickly introduced me to a few guys that he regularly plays with and very close friends of his, Matt and Dustin.

It was actually quite hilarious to be honest, but so normal. Having never met before, a lot of the wives and girlfriends were cracking jokes the whole time, asking if we were nervous to meet for the first time, but as it turns out, having played games together almost every single day for 3 years was such a unique way to become friends! It was like we had known each other for the longest time and it was a true pleasure to become even closer with my squad…we are ride or die…so, that’s that! WWCD 4 Life.

All of these things combined really made for one of the most special weddings for me, it was an absolute blast and honour to be the photographer at this wedding and one that I will never forget. The entire day was so laid back and easy. It was great to get to shoot off island again as well!

Thanks so much Bree and Hunka, you rock!

What time we landing tonight boys?
