Petersfield Park has been a location I have been to many times for weddings, families and high school grads. Years ago when I started wedding photography the go-to place was Wentworth Park in downtown Sydney, but I quickly learned that as a spot for photos, it really was not that great.

Not that Wentworth Park isn’t a nice place in Sydney, it was just usually crowded on a wedding day and there was usually so much busy stuff happening in the background, like cars, houses and people.

Petersfield, on the other hand can be perfect. It is a nice large area and you don’t really have to worry about too many others. The great thing is now people are choosing to have their ceremony there. I have shot ceremonies a few times here and it’s awesome.

When April booked me and told me the ceremony was outside and at the Park, I was amped! An awesome spot with two super cool people. What is not to be excited about?
