Cape Breton Wedding Location - The Inverary Inn, Baddeck
Over the next few weeks I want to give some insight into the amazing locations our Island has to offer for weddings, this won't be limited to just the resorts. It will include the small farms, the bans, the fields and anywhere else you can imagine folks tie the knot on this Island. Cape Breton truly is a unique place, we win awards based on tourism all the time, we are ranked in the top 10 Islands around the world and recently, Canadians have decided that Cape Breton is a top travel destination. You can read about it here.
I'm starting this series with the Inverary Resort in Baddeck, an all in one resort that has Cape Breton charm at every angle. I LOVE shooting there.
I have photographed more weddings than I can count here and have never once had a single hick-up or have even heard a single complaint from any of my clients. Everything you can imagine for your wedding day and for your quests is available. From the Ceremony, the supper, reception, spa, pool, hot tubs, adventure centre with pontoon boat, paddle boards, kayaks, evening bonfires, music in the pub every night (in the high season obviously), cottages with BBQs, babysitting services, and of course, Golf at Bell Bay or Baddeck Forks, all the local shopping, hiking trails, the Amoeba Sailing tours, Tom's Pizza (shameless plug for my wife's family business) and let's not forget....the Cabot Trail.
The staff at the Inverary are friendly and conscientious, the locals are second to none. The Village of Baddeck is what Cape Breton is all about. Stop by once and you will always want to return. The wedding and events coordinator, Carolyn Hutchison, is wonderful and will have your day running like a fine time piece. This in my opinion, is a huge plus. Leaving most of the stress and planning of the little things up to the professionals will really help you enjoy yourself a lot more.
It is basically the full package. Not to mention, for photography, Baddeck has it all. Just a short quick drive in any direction and you are in an amazing place. I fly fish in my spare time, so I'm in the know for the cool spots off of the beaten path, nice openings near the amazing rivers that are easy to get to, but hard if you don't know where these spots are.
The Inverary Inn and Baddeck can take the worry out of your day and help make it the most perfect wedding. If you have any questions about the area, please feel free to shoot me an email or contact the Inverrary directly, they are always ready to help!
