Cape Breton Wedding Photography ROCKS!
According to a CBC article, Cape Breton ranked #1 on the list of Top Island Destinations in the Continental U.S. and Canada – in Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2011 reader’s survey. We also have 3 of the top 5 golf courses in Canada! The beauty just doesn't stop and it can literally be found everywhere on this Island.
Is it any wonder why so many couples travel here to tie the knot? I have been part of quite a few weddings that hosted couples and families that don't live here, or have never lived here and even some who have never even visited the Island before their wedding week.
Cape Breton is simply a magical place, our raw beauty is incredible. The opportunity to make breathtaking images here is easy for us wedding photographers. Our rugged coastlines and flowing vistas are around every corner, our panoramic views, our highlands, our lakes and rivers, we even have the Fortress of Louisbourg and it's surrounding area highlighted by incredible lighthouses.
I could go on and on, but you get the idea, right? If you still don't see what I mean, how about this. You can pull off to the side of the road, get out of your car and see this...
Then, walk across the road to this...
...on the way back to your car, stop and hang out here...
This is what I'm talking about! For me as a wedding photographer in Cape Breton, it really is too good to be true! All it takes is a little planning and maybe some extra travel, however if you are getting married anywhere along the Cabot Trail, you are in for a treat for your photographs.
Take all of that and couple it with just how amazing our people are and how welcoming they are and you have a recipe for a very successful wedding. Speaking of wedding photography, ShootDotEdit has published a great article on editing wedding photos. You can learn more about all of the work that goes into making wedding images look amazing! Check it out!
But also, don't think you need to be on the Cabot Trail to experience our only true beauty, it is everywhere. We are a proud people, and we love our Island. There are just as many secret or hidden little places as there are well known ones. Find yourself a photographer who knows them all!
