This was an awesome session in Mira, and by awesome I mean...wow I bleed like crazy because of the flies! WOW! Insane. I cant even explain how bad they were. I was called a pussy about 47 times...but I guess I should be used to black clouds of flies! ahaha...
Nah it was an awesome session...the big canvas arrived today and it looked amazing. Another awesome job by the staff at Atlantic Photo Supply, they really hook me up!
The MacPhersons have this awesome old barn on their property, which we incorporated into the session. I really wanted to shoot from the other side, but the sun would just not work for us...so we used some strobes and the other side and it ended up awesome!

Sometimes cool things happen! This family photo is a composite of 3 different photos, it creates a totally unique look with pretty cool light, and chances are you would never know and think it was one photo. As soon as these guy viewed their photo they wanted this one and that was it! I love that!
Its a different shape than the typical photo, and that is pretty cool in my books. I think Guy likes it most because he looks like the boss!
Anyway, awesome people, awesome family and a great photo in my opinion!

Check out the Brewer Family, this was a fun photo session! A great family too!
The children, Chauntelle, Brianna and Alexander were great! All 3 have different interests so we needed to get it all!

Family photos are also awesome when they are fun! I loved Chris and Nora's family photos right away, they were fun and that is exactly what this family is...capturing the personality of the family members in a photograph is the main goal.
Lots of families come in the studio everyday, and their idea of a family photo will range from "traditional" to "crazy fun" and everything in between. Never be afraid to tell your photographer exactly what you want. I have had many families tell me flat out exactly what they want, and what they do NOT want. That is the best way to go about it, sure I have ideas....but my idea of your family standing in a massive field of hay may be not what you had in mind. Maybe you saw your family sitting on the ground leaning up against a brick wall! Let me know!
That is the best way to go about your family photo, call us up, lets brainstorm some ideas so that you have something awesome to hang on your wall!
A nice quote from Nora about her family photos, that fits perfect..."We look crazy, but hey that's us. If you can't have fun then stay home right?"
