What do you get when you combine a stunning new picturesque golf course with an equally beautiful family? Kick butt photographs!
Meet Trevor, Danielle, Hunter and Delaney. It was my second time around with this family and we had a great time bombing around The Lakes Golf Course in Ben Eoin for their family session. They actually have a cottage right at the base of the course! If you have not played this course yet, or even taken a trip around it on a cart, you need to. It really is stunning, some of the best views in Cape Breton without a doubt! Not to mention how amazing this course is for a player. I personally love it there. I dont get out as much as I want to anymore, but when I do...Im there. My Dad would have loved this course.
One other thing you will notice there, is the general love that all of the members and players have for this course. They are proud to be members and owners, and it shows.
Big thanks to the course pro Jason Sweeney, associate pro Blehr MacKinley and the team of professionals. They always seem to know what is going on and its actually very impressive. They knew that we were coming for the photo session, they had carts waiting for us and anything that we needed was available. Total class in my books!

As with my last post, its hard not to be humbled by return wedding clients that put faith in me to give them great family photos. I love being a part of this, it means so much. I love watching these families just grow over time with the addition of children....it really is fun to watch. Having a child of my own now, I know just how they feel.
As a side note, Becky and Billy named their new born little dude "Cooper". If there was ever a child with a super cool name, its "Cooper Dixon"....I mean, come on...how awesome is that? It's like a race car drivers name as Becky says. I love it!

Once again, shooting past wedding clients is most likely my favorite thing to do. I'm humbled every time I get to do it. Jamie and Amanda were awesome, every session we have done together.
This time, meet Gavin! I have shot him before, but he was only a wee baby. He is a little bruiser now, and it was time for a family session.
Funny story, the weekend I shot these guys, was Amanda's birthday. So Jamie booked me as a surprise present for Amanda, thats right..."I'm" a present! haha The day before they leave Halifax to visit Sydney, Amanda emails me and sets up a family session for October! Right after I get her email, I get one from Jamie just asking me to play along....it was pretty funny! Jamie springs the surprise on Amanda on Saturday at 3pm....which, is cool...and not..because Amanda is a planner!
Anyway, it worked out perfectly...and here we go with some awesome images. Thanks again guys!
