...and 2009 was quite the trip! Wow, what a year! So much has happened since we opened the studio a year and 4 months ago!

First off, my son is 2.4 years old, and growing like a friggin' weed! He is smarter than I can ever imagine and keeps my days filled with love and laughs. I am so grateful to have him. We really are a family business here, most of my clients will tell you they have met him running around the studio. Ben gets to visit me usually once a day around lunch time, so if you want to meet him, feel free to drop in, chances are he will be here playing. He loves meeting new people!

I really love that I can have my son here at "work" with me. I think it brings a great family feel to the studio, and that is what I strive for. I want my clients to just relax here, hang out...and just feel comfortable.

Weddings! I will be married in less than 4 months! We will be in Punta Cana for our special day. The year has really flown by since I asked Helen to spend the rest of her life with me. I have just returned from almost a week long vacation in Las Vegas where my best friend Jeff tied to the knot to the love of his life Kathryn-Jean. What a great wedding to be part of!

Vegas is a crazy place! Do not go to Las Vegas to relax, I will tell you now...it won't happen! It is a very fun city though and I do plan to go back, I really want to take my father there for some hardcore poker playing. I met some amazing new people there, and got to catch up with some old friends! Everyone is nice there, it is so easy to just join anyone doing anything!

The holiday season at the studio was insane, I'm not sure I worked more in my entire life, morning until night we were flat out, Calder and Alyssa were great and we got through it with just a few hickups. For the most part, I'm SUPER happy with how we did.....

So what's in store for 2010 for the studio? Lots, we have lots of exciting things that will be announced, special pricing for families, grads, children...the full deal. Actually, children are always half price sessions here, just because we really do love kids and enjoy having them there.

The blog will be updated more and more...I have to admit, most times we are just too busy to sit down and blog, I hate to admit it, but that is a good thing when you are trying to run a small business...but I think I will start blogging from home after Ben goes to bed.

Also! Seniors, now is the time to book your session. I can guarantee we are going to book up like never before, if you want in, get in now! I can promise you now, you are going to see some of the most new and creative stuff come out of Scott McIntyre Photography yet, so get on board. The ideas that I have gathered up over the last year are about to start spilling out!

Ever hear of FUSION? You will very shortly, and you will want it.

Weddings, look out this year. New ideas, new methods, new gear, the stuff is gona rock, guaranteed! I accept less weddings now, so that I can give more attention, focus and energy to each wedding client I have. I REALLY want to blow you away.

Finally, a big thanks to all of my past clients, I can't do it without you, and I personally want to thank you and let you know how much I appreciate you. How does a small town boy from Sydney Mines make a name for himself in the photography business in a provience where EVERYONE says there is no money, no work, no talent, no nothing? You...you make that happen. Cape Breton is awesome....I love it here! I hope to be YOUR photographer for a very, very long time. I'm here to stay.

Scott

There's a movement to radically change California government, by getting rid of career politicians and chopping their salaries in half. A group known as Citizens for California Reform wants to make the California legislature a part time time job, just like it was until 1966.
